At Venture Kids, our mission is to come alongside parents and caregivers to help them raise their children to become growing, serving, and reproducing disciples of Christ.
Through age-appropriate Bible teaching, activities, and relationships with caring volunteers, we want children to know that they belong, that they are loved, and that following Jesus is a lifelong adventure.
Your First Visit
Visiting a new church with children can feel like an adventure all by itself! We want to make your first visit to Venture Kids as easy and welcoming as possible.
When you arrive at Northwest Chapel, enter through the East Entrance. Our Venture Kids team will be there to welcome you, help you check-in your child, and show you where to go.
Make Check-In Even Easier
Save a little time on Sunday morning by creating your family's profile before your first visit. Having your family's information in our secure check-in system helps us safely care for your child and makes future check-ins quick and easy.
Additionally, it helps us stay connected with you! Throughout the week, Venture Kids families receive parent recap emails sharing what their children learned, ideas for continuing the conversation at home, upcoming events, and other important Venture Kids information. Families participating in Explorers Club also receive a Wednesday evening recap to help carry that night's lesson into the rest of the week.
Not ready to create a family profile? That is okay! When you arrive, stop by the Venture Kids Check-In desk, and we can get your child checked in as a guest.
Your Child's Safety Matters
Your child's safety is a priority in Venture Kids.
Every Venture Kids volunteer age 18 and older completes a background check, and all Venture Kids volunteers are required to read and sign Northwest Chapel's Personal Abuse & Sexual Misconduct Policy statement.
Our volunteers receive training in Venture Kids safety procedures and expectations, and our secure check-in and check-out process helps ensure that children leave with the correct parent or caregiver.
Sundays at Venture Kids
Venture Kids is available during both Sunday morning services at 9:15 and 11:00AM for children newborn through 4th grade.
Children are welcomed into age-appropriate classrooms where they learn about God through Bible teaching, activities, conversation, and relationships with caring leaders.
9:15AM
Curriculum: The Gospel Project
Ages 3 – 4th Grade
Kids journey through the Bible and discover how the entire story of Scripture points to Jesus and God's plan of redemption.
11:00AM
Curriculum: Awana Brite
Ages 3 – 4th Grade
Kids continue building a biblical foundation through engaging Bible teaching designed to help them know, love, and follow Jesus. Families are welcome to attend either service—or stay for both!
Wednesday Night Explorers Club
Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM September through April
Age 4 – 4th Grade
Explorers Club gives kids another opportunity to dig into God's Word, build relationships, and discover what it looks like to follow Jesus throughout the week.
Using Word of Life curriculum, children learn Scripture, work through age-appropriate Quiet Time resources, participate in games and activities, and grow alongside friends and caring leaders.
Every Child Belongs
We want every child to have the opportunity to participate meaningfully in Venture Kids.
If your child has a disability, sensory need, developmental difference, behavioral need, or simply benefits from a little extra support, we would love to talk with you before your visit about how we can best welcome and support your child.
