The Coronavirus & Northwest Chapel
(Information updated as of 3:30pm on Thursday, March 26)

Our public Worship Celebrations have been cancelled along with all activities through April 9.
From Pastor Rob Barlow, Northwest Chapel — Thursday, March 26 – 3:30pm
The Bible reminds us that we can rejoice “…though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” -1 Peter 1:6-7

It is in the midst of trials like this pandemic, that our faith in Christ is shown to be of greater worth than gold.  Many things about the future are uncertain.  But we know this for sure: Jesus is returning and will reward all those who follow Him as Lord.  Our eternal salvation provides hope that transcends even the worst circumstances.  Take heart: compared to eternity these trials will be only a little while (v.6).  In the meantime, see this as an opportunity to Be the Church.

However, the Church is people, not a building. So our church family will still be worshiping—even though we will not be gathered at 6700 Rings Road.
I will present a Bible message online (either live streaming or YouTube recording). You can take advantage of the dramatic turn of events and spend some extra time in Bible study and prayer. And there are a multitude of other resources available for spiritual encouragement through RightNow Media (our version of Christian Netflix).
Remember Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! (Hebrews 13:8)
Most of us know a few folks whom we can call for help. Here’s an opportunity to BE a person whom others can call.
-Call a couple of your brothers or sisters in the Lord to check on them.
-Offer a roll of toilet paper to a neighbor with young children.
-Pray that God will open your eyes to opportunities to share the hope we have in Christ!
We will continue to post updates on our website (
Our ministry staff is available to pray with you by phone or serve you in any way we can. You can contact us by calling 614/761-0363 and leaving a message for the Minister On Call or just call us directly.
