Children’s Ministries

Vision & Goals:

We believe children need to be nurtured early in their faith, growing into lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. Our goal for the children is that they learn to engage Jesus and others every day for eternal impact.
We’re pleased to welcome your children to Sunday School Classes! Please read this
Parent Letter and the Children’s Ministries Procedures to prepare you and your family for what to expect each Sunday.
Children’s ministries is excited to announce that a second elementary classroom will be opening up beginning this Sunday, October 4th, during the 9:30 hour. This classroom will double the number of students we are able to safely minister to each Sunday.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Teaching, Childcare, VBX, Curriculum Preparation, and Special Projects.
For all those who work directly with the children we ask that you download the Volunteer & Background Check Forms, fill it out and submit it to the Director of Children’s Ministry.

Sundays at Northwest Chapel:

We offer children’s programming for walkers through 6th grade, and always start with security. Please see our Children’s Ministries Procedures document above for specific information on check-in and check-out.

Walkers: Our youngest group of kids is cared for by dedicated volunteers in fully equipped rooms.

2-Year-Olds: Each week the children listen to a Bible story, a CD and DVD with praise songs and motions and engage in fun, age-appropriate activities.

Preschool & Kindergarten (3-6-Year-Olds): PreK & Kindergarten have their own age-appropriate large group time that utilizes fantastic animations, puppets, music and graphics to help teach the lesson. Games, Bible stories, a craft and table time activities make this a fun and memorable hour each week.
1st – 4th Grade: The children are taught in grade level classrooms. Our Elevate Kids curriculum utilizes fantastic animations, music and graphics to help teach the lesson. The activities are fun, thought provoking and emphasize Bible application lessons. Each lesson is built around a Bible story, Bible verse and Main point.
